Chibundu Nnake

Chibundu Nnake, JD, MBA is a senior government affairs executive and advocacy leader with more than 14 years of experience advancing policy at the intersection of technology, education, and public policy. He currently serves as Senior Director of Government Relations for Privacy, AI, and Technology at College Board, where he directs state and federal legislative strategy on critical technology and data governance issues.

Previously, Chibundu was a U.S. Campaign Manager at Google, where he led the development and execution of complex legislative and advocacy campaigns. During his tenure, he directed seven major state-level initiatives that successfully modified or defeated data minimization legislation, resulting in an estimated $5 billion in organizational savings. He also managed a portfolio of 12 privacy-focused campaigns, improving execution outcomes by 5 percent through strategic prioritization and executive engagement.

Earlier in his career, Chibundu served as Manager of Government Relations at NetApp, where he helped establish the company’s government relations function from the ground up. His work included building a strategic pipeline through partnerships with the U.S. Public Sector sales team and designing a 75-person veteran suicide prevention initiative that leveraged innovative applications of artificial intelligence and data analytics.

A seasoned political strategist, Chibundu has contributed to multiple high-profile campaigns, including Biden for President, Fetterman for Senate, and Bernie 2020. He has also held leadership roles with the Presidential Inaugural Committee and served as an Advance Associate for the Biden Administration, supporting domestic and international travel for the President and senior officials.

A native of Houston now based in Washington, D.C., Chibundu Nnake brings the discipline of a former Ohio State University football player to his leadership and service. He remains actively engaged with his alma mater as President of The Ohio State University Black Alumni Society, where he works to strengthen alumni connection and community impact.

Chibundu is deeply committed to education, governance, and service. He currently serves as Governance Chair for the IDEA Public Charter Schools Board and as a Board Member of Reach, Inc., contributing strategic oversight and mission-driven leadership to both organizations.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The Ohio State University and completed both his Juris Doctor and MBA at Southern Methodist University. He is currently completing a Master’s degree in Legislative Affairs and Political Management at George Washington University.
